E-mail from Jenni/ Dec 27 2011

Monday was Prep day and we played volley ball with the elders and the other sister missionaries. It was hilarious because all the sisters stayed together and let the elders do most of the hitting. It was fun I got to hit the ball once and the elders didn't laugh at me. The elders hit the ball so hard we didn't want to be in the way. The elders destroyed a soccer ball by playing a game called shoot out which we didn't want any part of. But it was a fun day. Enjoy the rest of your break and the New Year. I love and miss you. Thank you for being my mother.
Love Jenni

Letter from Jenni /Dec. 22 -25 2011

Jenni has been the talk of all the missionaries at the transfer meeting on Monday the 19th. She is special since she didn't get sent to the MTC. She loves her companion her name is Sister Bentley and Jenni is her last trainee before she is sent home in February. They are living with an older couple who are Baptist and has been housing missionaries for over three years. They have been teaching the lessons to several families and an inactive couple. The inactive couple took the smoking workshop from Jenni and Sister Bentley and have stopped smoking. Jenni is very proud of them because they have stayed smoke free for a week. They have been teaching a blind young lady who has a strong testimony but her family disapproves.

Jenni called home on Christmas and was so excited to talk to everyone. I seems as though see has been gone for more than a week. She has been so busy at times she is overwhelmed but is getting acclimated. She loves serving and teaching others about the gospel. I have always known she was special spirit and thankful the Lord has chosen me to raise her.

Jenni would love to have letters and any care packages from members of the church, friends and family. Her address is 523 Lindenwood Ave St. Charles, Mo. 63301.

I'm going on a full time mission!

Well its offical i will be serving a full time mission in the stlouis missouri mission on dec 19 and will report at the frontenac chapel at 10am at the transfer meeting and will be introduced to my companion who will train me for 12 weeks and will be off to our new area and serve until sept 2012 full time and i am so excited! i have been serving as a service missionary at the st louis missouri temple as a temple apatron and my calling was for a year which would be over in june since i started in june 2011, however i would still be a branch missionary until september so right now the end date is sept 2012 but president clark said it could be extended depending on our progress. I started filling out my mission papers in april 2010 and in  sept 2010 i recieved a letter from salt lake saying i was not accepted for a full time mission which devestated me since i dreamed of going on a misssion my whole life but after i was told i could serve a service mission and the temple was on the list of service missions they send to my bishop so i chose the temple and got permission from the temple presidency and found out the temple didnt have a full time service missionary in the temple since it first opened and they made my calling in the temple especially for me so i have been very blessed to serve in the temple and be there everyday but now i will be in the missouri mission full time so i had to say goodbye to the temple and hello to missouri. i created this blog to record my mission experiences and my mom will update it for me but i never want to forget anything about my misson and want to keep those who worked so hard to get me not one but two wonderful missions updated and aware of me in missouri, i wish i made a blog for the temple mission but this makes up for it. so enjoy and know i love you all and hope this blog inspires and motivates you. so close and yet so far
